Coles will close the doors on its Cambrian Mall location for good in March.

Coles Cambrian Mall is closing its doors after 36 years in business.

The bookstore announced Wednesday that it will close its doors permanently March 7.

“Our store has become a place for people to gather and be inspired. We could not have done it without our wonderful staff and our incredible customers,” reads a post from the store’s social media page.

Kate Gregory, director of marketing and communications for Indigo Books and Music Inc., confirmed the closure with SooToday via email Thursday night, but wouldn’t elaborate on the reasons behind the move, or how many employees the closure would impact.

Gregory says the Coles location in the Station Mall will remain open.

“We are working closely with all employees to ensure they are fully supported through this transition, and a number of employees have moved over to our Coles Station Mall location,” she wrote.

Coles products can also be ordered online through indigo.ca.
