The following businesses and organizations have reported closures or cancellations for today (Mar. 1, 2017):

- Be advised that all four (4) of the Municipality of Huron Shore’s Waste Disposal Sites will be CLOSED today, Mar. 1, 2017, due to the severe winter storm event we are currently experiencing. Huron Shores residents and the travelling public are strongly urged to stay off the roads today due to the extremely hazardous driving conditions. The Waste Disposal Sites will re-open on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.

- The Special Meeting of Council (Huron Shores) scheduled for Wednesday, Mar. 1, 2017 has been cancelled due to the severe winter storm we are experiencing. The meeting will be rescheduled for a later date.

- The Expedia CruiseShipCenters Royal Caribbean New Cruiser Presentation has been rescheduled to Mar. 8 at 7 p.m.

- The Central Dance Banquet has been cancelled tonight and postponed to Wednesday, Mar. 8 due to the anticipated deterioration of driving condition in the Central Algoma Area.

- The Algoma District School Board advises the public that the Accommodation Review Public Information Meeting that was scheduled for this evening at Blind River Public School has been postponed due to inclement weather. The information meeting is rescheduled for Monday, Mar. 6 at 6:30 p.m. at the school. We thank you for your understanding on this matter.
