City police wanna know: Do you have video surveillance?

Officers will canvass area businesses to identify areas where video evidence may exist to help accelerate future investigations

SAULT STE MARIE POLICE SERVICE

Over the next few weeks, officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service will be working in partnership with the staff from Crime Stoppers of Sault Ste. Marie and the Algoma District and students from the Justice Studies Program at Sault College to conduct a canvas of businesses in Sault Ste. Marie regarding their use of video surveillance.

The goal of this canvas is to help officers identify areas where video evidence may exist in order to accelerate investigations in the future.

Involvement in this program is completely voluntary. Any business wishing to take part may sign up with the volunteers and staff when the visit the business or email The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service at [email protected] to receive an e-form to sign up.

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service believes that by working together with our partners in the community we can help reduce the opportunities for crime.
