City and fire chief end employment relationship

The City of Sault Ste. Marie and Fire Chief Mike Figliola have ended their employment relationship effective Monday, May 8, 2017.

Recruitment for a new Fire Chief is underway.

In the meantime, Deputy Chief Paul Milosevich will serve in the role in an interim capacity while continuing to oversee Fire Education, Prevention and Emergency Management.

It is intended that there will be no disruption to the delivery of City services during the transition.
