The city is conducting a survey to better understand ways in which it can support local business. The full text of the release follows:

The City of Sault Ste. Marie’s Economic Development team has designed a Sault Ste. Marie Business Snapshot survey to better understand the ways in which it can support local business. The survey is available until Dec. 13 and can be completed here.

The feedback will be used to better understand the needs of the local business community and identify concerns for strategic planning and future action. It will also provide insight into how the Economic Development team can support strategies for development, growth, attract new businesses and identify funding opportunities and other resources available for businesses.

“The last business survey was completed in 2018,” states Kathleen Heymans, manager of business development. “The survey is meant to provide our team and partners with a clear picture of the needs of the business community today and in the future. Retention and expansion of business is critical and this includes checking in with the business community on a regular basis. The survey is an important tool we will use in building a structured and strategic approach to supporting businesses”.

Businesses that submit a completed survey will be entered to win a gift basket from Hogan’s Homestead that includes delicious maple goodies for team members to enjoy. For more information, contact Kathleen Heymans at [email protected] or 705-989-7075.
