City gets cash boost for public transit from federal, provincial governments

More than $17 million in federal funding and over $14 million in provincial funding will be given to the city over the next 10 years

Sault Ste. Marie will receive more than $17 million in federal funding and over $14 million in provincial funding for public transit over the next 10 years as part of a bilateral agreement between the provincial and federal governments.

As part of the agreement, The City of Sault Ste. Marie will pick up 17 per cent of the tab.
