Children, suspect killed in Connecticut school shooting

At 9:41 a.m. today police in Newtown, Connecticut were called to Sandy Hook elementary school. A gunman carrying two handguns had opened fire at the school for children aged 5 to 10 years old on Friday morning.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that children and the suspect are among the 12 or more dead at the scene and at least one teacher was wounded.

District hospitals are also reporting that several people were seriously wounded in the attack.
