Charge laid after cyclist hurt

Anthony Armour of the 400 block of Wallace Terrace was charged yesterday after an accident near Cambrian Mall that sent a local cyclist to hospital.

Brendan Cumming of the 100 block of Old Goulais Bay Road was taken away by ambulance after he was hit on his bicycle while travelling south on Great Northern Road.

There was light damage to Armour's vehicle and moderate damage to the Cumming's bike, police said.

Armour is charged with failing to afford reasonable opportunity to avoid a collision while making a left turn.
