Car, SUV involved in smash-up at Bruce and Queen (3 photos)

Eyewitnesses say people fled the scene following Monday afternoon collision

Police, fire and EMS responded to a report of a collision at the intersection of Bruce Street and Queen Street East involving a car and a sport utility vehicle shortly after 4 p.m., Monday. 

Two occupants in the sport utility vehicle were observed by paramedics, but it's believed no major injuries were sustained in the collision. 

Eyewitnesses reports suggest that the car's occupants fled the scene.

Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is investigating.
