A driver and a young child were taken to the hospital with what were described as minor injuries after their vehicle crashed into a building Thursday evening.

Just after 7:30 p.m. a Ford Edge Crossover SUV crashed through a gate and into the wall of the Pioneer Construction Inc. district office at the intersection of Old Goulais Bay Road and Fifth Line East.

Sault Ste. Marie Police Services received a call at 7:37 p.m. and responded along with Sault Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services and Emergency Services.
