Canada Post moves from Market Mall location

Stamping Grounds in the Market Mall has shut its doors, SooToday has learned.

The store, which also hosted a Canada Post retail outlet, closed as of 2 p.m. on Sunday.

A notice posted outside the location earlier this week stated as of Monday, call-for items and items for pick-up only for current postal box customers are available at the Canada Post office at Shoppers Drug Mart on Second Line West.

Mail outs are not available at this time at the Shoppers location.

A sign posted on the closed gates of Stamping Grounds today says customers will also be able to attend the Station Mall's post office location as of Monday (Aug. 17).

Canada Post has not released any details explaining the reason for the move.

In February of this year, Canada Post announced their retail outlet in Canadian Tire would close on March 9. That closure came at the request of the dealer. Media relations at Canada Post stated they are still looking for a replacement postal outlet in the area.

The hours of operation at the Shoppers Drug Mart location are Monday to Friday 9 a.m. - 9 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
