Burglars cut wires at Trunk Road businesses

CITY POLICE NEWS RELEASE

*************************** City Police are investigating an attempted entry and a break and enter to two businesses on Trunk road.

On the evening of August 28 to the early morning hours of Aug 29, thieves forced the rear door of the Hong Kong Restaurant at 241 Trunk Road.

Once inside the culprit(s) stole an unknown amount of cash.

During this same time period culprits attempted to gain entry to the Trunk Road Quick Mart.

In both incidents the wires leading into the building were cut.

The City Police were also kept busy with four other Break and Enters over the weekend.

Break–ins were reported to the following addresses:

1. The 100 block of Biggings Avenur where an apartment was broken into – unknown what was taken

2. The 300 block of Elizabeth Street where thieves stole a child’s four-wheeler and tools from storage shed

3. The 100 block of Ransome Drive where a purse was stolen - entry was gained via patio door.

4. The 100 block of Promenade Drive. Unknown what was taken when a shed was entered.
