The one-way traffic crossings of the International Bridge in Sault Ste. Marie reached 56,162 in January 2023, the International Bridge administration said.
This number constitutes a year-to-date increase of 270.1 per cent compared to 2022.
Since 1962, the bridge has had 104.5 milling bridge crossings.

The International Bridge administration today announced that one-way traffic crossings of the International Bridge in Sault Ste. Marie totalled 56,162 for the month of January 2023. Traffic for the calendar year-to-date on Jan. 31, 2023, is 56,162. This represents a year-to-date increase of 270.1 per cent compared to 2022. The bridge has processed 104.5 million bridge crossings since 1962.
This difference in crossings comparing 2023 to 2022 is 40,989, which represents an increase of 270.1 per cent for the month of January.
An analysis of traffic statistics for the month reveals the following:
