SooToday.com received the following update from Scott Davie, whose son Brett is in New Brunswick for Canadian Biathlon Nationals.

With the first race in the books today at Canadian Biathlon Nationals in Charlo, New Brunswick, Sault native Brett Davie came second in the 10-kilometre sprint race.
Brett shot 9 for 10 and skied with a time of 33.03.
He was 38 sec behind the leader Christian Gow Alberta.
Brett will now race on Thursday in the pursuit race.
