WEATHER ALERT
ENVIRONMENT CANADA
Warning Statement
10 to 15 cm of snow expected by Friday morning.
Snow associated with an Alberta clipper has spread over much of Northern Ontario this afternoon and will continue tonight.
Snowfall amounts in the 10 to 15 cm range are expected by the time the snow ends Friday morning.
Local blowing snow is also possible with gusty winds.
A snowfall warning (issued when 15 cm falls within 12 hours) is not expected for these regions, however conditions will be monitored closely.
A winter storm warning has been issued for regions near the western shore of Lake Superior where higher snowfall amounts up to 20 cm are possible along with significant blowing snow in strong easterly winds.
Travellers are urged to exercise caution as heavy snow and blowing snow could result in sudden reductions to visibility.
