TORONTO – Playing bingo has always been a popular pastime for Ontarians, but you don’t need a bingo dabber to win big. Congratulations to Chad Rolling of Blind River who won a $50,000 top prize with Instant Bingo (Game #1923).

“I enjoy playing Instant scratch games and Lotto 6/49,” shared Chad while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto where he picked up his winnings. “I was with my girlfriend when I scratched my winning ticket. I had to recheck it 10 times to make sure I wasn’t imagining.”

Chad headed to the store to validate his ticket. “First, I scanned it in the ticket checker and I saw the words, ‘Big Winner’ appear on the screen. Next, I handed my ticket over to the retailer for validation. The terminal froze and I said to the retailer, ‘Buddy, what do I do now?’” laughed Chad.

As a new business owner, Chad plans to use his windfall to grow his company. “This money is going into the business for sure. Starting a new company is a big undertaking. I launched it a year ago and business was a little slow. This win will definitely help,” concluded Chad.

Instant Bingo is available for $3 a play and the top prize is $50,000. To win, players need to scratch a line, 4 corners, a letter T, a letter X or an outside box on their Bingo game cards. Odds of winning a prize are 1 in 3.45.

The winning ticket was purchased at Broken Canoe Trading Post on West Street in Blind River.
