NEWS RELEASE
ST. VINCENT PLACE
*************************
This Saturday, St. Vincent Place is holding our ninth annual Big Blue Box Food Drive and we’d love to see the streets completely lined with donations.

To donate, all you need to do is put your non-perishable goods in any box or bag at your curb by 10 a.m. on Saturday. That’s it! Our team of volunteers will pick it up for you. Helping to fight hunger has never been easier.

Last year, Sault residents answered the call in a big way, donating $31,000 worth of goods to our food bank. This year, we’re hoping to beat that record. Every donation we collect will be used in our food bank, which helped to feed more than 2,000 families in 2018.

Thank you to all of the businesses and volunteers who have stepped up to help with this year’s food drive, including sponsors CTV and Soapy’z Car Wash, and Maitland Ford who are offering three trucks. And a very special thank you to St. Jerome’s Parish for partnering with St. Vincent Place to make the event such a resounding success every year.

And of course, a very big thank you to everyone in the community who has and will donate to St. Vincent Place. We couldn’t help the people we do without your support.
