Bellevue Park will play host to a Multiculturalism Day celebration on June 27.

The Sault Community Career Centre and Sault Ste. Marie and Area Local Immigration Partnership are throwing this free event to celebrate the diversity of the city and the surrounding area.

There will be music, dancing, henna art, face painting and free pizza.

The Sault Ste. Marie Career Centre press release about the event is included below.

June 27 is Multiculturalism Day in Canada, a day to honour the many cultural communities that help build a strong and vibrant Canadian society, and an opportunity to celebrate the cultural diversity that enriches us collectively and reaffirms our commitment to equity, inclusion, and mutual respect.

In honour of Multiculturalism Day, the Sault Community Career Centre and Sault Ste. Marie and Area Local Immigration Partnership are hosting a free event on Monday, June 27 from 12 – 4 p.m., at the Bellevue Park Bandshell.

This is an all-ages event. Everyone is welcome to attend, and admission is free! There will be cultural music and dance, henna art, face painting, free pizza, and more!

If you’d like to attend or for more information, please email Mitchel Burch, Settlement Counsellor with the Sault Community Career Centre, at [email protected].

We hope to see you there!
