Arson suspected in Albert Street garage fire

Police say 'small fire' inside garage may have been set intentionally

Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services responded to a fire inside of a garage located in the 100 block of Albert Street West just after 7 p.m. Tuesday evening.

A pile of magazines inside the garage was on fire, but was quickly extinguished by the homeowner.

Sault Ste. Marie Police Services attended the scene shortly thereafter.

Police believe the fire may have been intentionally set.

The investigation is ongoing.
