NEWS RELEASE

SAULT FREECYCLE

*************************
June 21, 2014 marks the third annual Sault Freecycle event.

Sault Freecycle began as a random conversation three years ago and has grown into a green initiative that is supported by the City of Sault Ste. Marie, and Clean North.

The concept is simple: Put your re-usable, unwanted items on the curb with a sign clearly indicating ‘FREE’ for other residents to pick up and take away.

It’s a great way to keep items out of the landfill.

You can post what items you are giving away on the Sault Freecycle Facebook page or the new Sault Freecycle forum.

Items not picked up by 9 p.m. must be removed from the curb.

The City of Sault Ste. Marie will not be offering a special pick up for these items.

However, there is a list of organizations that accept donations on the Sault Freecycle Facebook page.

You can also request a copy of the list via email.

Your unwanted items might be just what someone else was looking for.

New for this year, a second date for Fall Freecycling will be announced. Stay tuned…

For more information, Like the Sault Freecycle Facebook page or email Anita at [email protected].
