APH reports one new case of COVID in the Sault

There are currently five active cases and one hospitalization in the area

Algoma Public Health is reporting one new COVID case in Sault Ste. Marie and surrounding area.

The new case is the 479th in the area since the start of the pandemic.

This case is classified as unknown exposure, meaning that the individual has not travelled internationally and is not connected to any other positive cases.

The individual was tested on Oct. 12, and is self-isolating.

There are currently five active cases in the Algoma District and one hospitalization.
