APH reports 30 new cases of COVID-19

Currently 345 active cases, 10 hospitalizations in the region

Algoma Public Health is reporting 30 new cases of COVID-19 today.

28 of these cases are from the Sault area, with two in Central and East Algoma. 

This brings the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 1,281. 

Of these new cases, eight have been traced to close contact with a known case, three are of unknown origin, one is linked to international travel and 18 are still under investigation.

There are currently 345 active cases, nine outbreaks and 10 hospitalizations in the region.

Regions within the APH that have reported cases in the last 14 days are:

  • Sault Ste. Marie and area
  • Central and East Algoma
  • Elliot Lake and area
