APH reports 11 new cases of COVID-19

Currently 20 active cases, zero hospitalizations in the region

Algoma Public Health is reporting 11 new cases of COVID-19 in the Sault Ste. Marie area.

Case numbers 489-498, tested on Oct. 22, and case number 499, tested on Oct. 23, all fall under the "close contact" or "unknown" (case #496) categories. All of the individuals are currently self-isolating. 

There are currently 20 active cases in Algoma and zero hospitalizations. 

Regions in Algoma that have reported COVID-19 cases in the past two weeks include:

  • North Algoma
  • Elliot Lake and area
  • Sault Ste. Marie and area
