For the second time in less than a year a fire occurred at a house 172 Cathcart Street this morning.
Around 1:45 a.m. Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services attended the scene, entered by the ground floor, and seemed to have put out the fire in about ten minutes.
Platoon chief Jeff Lajoie said no one was injured and that the building appears to have been vacant.
A fire occurred in the same house on July 28 last year.
Last year's fire reportedly started on the main floor of the home and at that time only the second floor of the building was occupied.
The fire this time appears to have occurred on the third floor said Lajoie.
Sault Ste. Marie Police Services and paramedics also attended the scene.
