Another fire at Double Eagle Parts and Service, OFM called

A fire at the same location four days ago was deemed suspicious by city police

The second fire in less than a week occurred at Double Eagle Parts and Service at 445 Sherbourne Street this morning.

No injuries were reported.

At 2:15 a.m. Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services responded to a call.

Four fire engines and 13 firefighters had the fire under control by around 3 a.m.

On Sunday August 21 a fire occurred on the same property.

Yesterday Sault Ste. Marie Police Services sent out a press release saying the August 21 fire was suspicious.

The same press release mentioned that at this time there was no indication that the August 21 fire, and other recent fires on Carmen’s Way, Wellington Street West, and at a residence on Anita Boulevard were related to each other.

SSMFS could not comment on details but they did say the Ontario Fire Marshal has been called to investigate today’s fire.
