OPP execute search warrant - Update
WAWA - On February 23, 2013 Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Wawa Detachment were advised by a local business of several thefts caught on camera.
Stolen were three GPS units, two security cameras and two electric shavers.
Investigation led the OPP to execute a warrant at a residence on Winston Road in Wawa.
Some of the stolen property was recovered at the residence along with over $1,400 worth of narcotics including Ecstasy and Percocet pills were seized.
A second search warrant was executed at a second address on Ontario Street at 3 p.m.
OPP recovered additional stolen property and a small quantity of narcotics during the search.
As a result 45-year-old Tammy Moore of Wawa was arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Theft under $5,000 (x8)
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Possession for the purpose Schedule I (x2)
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Wawa court on April 14, 2013.
