****************************** Kalle Mattson to release second album Anchors in the new year

SAULT STE. MARIE - On March 22, 2011 Sault Ste. Marie’s Kalle Mattson will release their second full length album titled Anchors, the follow up to the two time Northern Ontario Music Award nominated album Whisper Bee.

Anchors was recorded throughout summer 2010 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and was produced by the band and longtime collaborator Mark Gough (2009 winner of the Northern Ontario Music and Film Award for best engineer).

The record was mixed by Juno-nominated singer-songwriter Howie Beck, who has previously mixed and produced albums by Jason Collett, Matthew Barber, Josh Rouse, Hayden and Feist.

It was mastered in Los Angeles, California, at the legendary Bernie Grundman Studios, who have worked on records by the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Beck, The Band, Van Morrison, etc.

Although the record will not be released for another few months, the first single off of Anchors, Thick As Thieves is available for download here.

However, the catch is people who want the track have to “pay” for it by either a tweet or a Facebook post.

This is a brand new way of marketing an album by means of social networking.

More pay-with-a-tweet campaigns, promo videos and album news will be coming in the months leading to the release of Anchors.
