A ban on open fires within the City of Sault Ste. Marie imposed on May 2 has been lifted until further notice.
The Sault Ste. Marie Fire Department announced the lifting of the ban at 11:12 a.m. today.
Residents with permits are nonetheless reminded to refrain from burning during windy weather.
