Riddle: What will fill you up, bring warmth to others, get your heart pumping and your feet dancing?

Meadow Park Montessori School hosts an Evening for ARCH in honour of Rick McLeod

SAULT STE. MARIE - The students, staff and families of Meadow Park Montessori School have announced that their 2014 charity funding drive will be hosted on Saturday, March 22 at the Comfort Suites and Quattro Conference Centre at 229 Great Northern Road.

All proceeds will be in support of ARCH Hospice in memory of Rick MacLeod.

An Evening for ARCH will include a cocktail social hour featuring a jazz ensemble, followed by delicious dinner, live auction with Vernon Bailey and more live music and dancing with Thin Ice.

Tickets are only $60 and the evening commences at 6 p.m.

Meadow Park Montessori's principal Tricia Harding says: "It was during a visit with Rick at ARCH with some of my staff members that moved us. It gave us a much greater appreciation of the dedication and care provided by the staff at our Community Hospice. They offer a comforting atmosphere for residents, their families and visiting guests."

Lee Skinner, fund development coordinator at ARCH, couldn’t agree more, and adds: “Rick was a light here at ARCH Hospice - whether it was musical performances, his family and friends, or the many visitors - he brought warmth and smiles to everyone. We are honoured to have been able to serve the much-loved Rick MacLeod and his family during such an important time. It is marvellous to see Meadow Park Montessori and the community come together in honour of Rick and to support ARCH Hospice.”

For tickets or further information call Tricia or Darren at Meadow Park Montessori School at 705-253-6544 or email at [email protected], or contact Lee Skinner at ARCH Hospice at 705-942-1556x222 or [email protected].

Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) provides palliative, end-of-life care to Algoma residents and their families.

Dedicated staff, volunteers and community partners provide compassionate care to meet the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of those we are privileged to serve.

ARCH is partially government funded, requiring $750,000 annually in external funding, as well as the generosity of nearly two hundred dedicated staff and volunteer members to provide its services to the community.
