Always wanted to own a plane? Now is your chance!

Earn Your Wings Auction in support of the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre is on now
Bushplane Museum

The sky is the limit with the first-ever Earn Your Wings Auction, supporting Sault Ste. Marie’s own Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre.

The auction allows you to become the honorary owner of one (or more!) of the popular museum’s historic planes while helping the non-profit organization recover from the financial strain it endured during its closure to the public during the COVID-19 pandemic. (The Bushplane Museum is set to re-open its doors on Wednesday, June 24, with reduced hours)

There are 23 planes and one vintage half-ton truck up for auction, including a De Havilland DHC-2 Beaver, Noorduyn Norseman, and De Havilland DHC-3 Otter.

This rare opportunity not only allows you the chance to “buy” a plane that is a piece of history while supporting a local landmark, but each winning bid also includes:

  • Honorary ownership of the item for one year: July 1, 2020 – June 30, 2021

  • One Year Individual Membership to the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre

  • A certificate of honorary ownership

  • Recognition of honorary ownership on display with the aircraft or truck in the museum for the year

  • Opportunity to have your photo taken with or in (where possible) your plane or truck

  • Any donor with a winning bid over $1000 will have their name added to the donor board in the centre’s lobby

Have a dad that is hard to buy for? Get him something he is sure to love for Father’s Day: a plane of his own!

Know a former pilot, a fan of flying, or an airplane enthusiast? This auction offers a one-of-a-kind gift that can’t be topped for any aviation enthusiast.

The auction is on now and ends Wednesday, June 17 at 9 p.m.

Winners will be contacted directly at the end of the auction.

Don’t miss your chance to “own” a plane while supporting local.

Happy bidding!
