Arlene Pitts and Mahmoud Shaheen were the organizers of a Guerrilla Film Festival last night at Algoma University College.
The event, featuring independent films about corporate responsibility and the power of protest, was a preamble for a downtown peace march planned for today to mark the one-year anniversary of the war on Iraq.
"It's a day to remember the people that have died in Iraq," Pitts told SooToday.com.
"It's a question for everyone. Do you have to kill so many people to get rid of one person," said Shaheen.
Today's peace march begins in front of the Sault Ste. Marie Court House at 1 p.m.
