ALGOMA UNIVERSITY

*************************
Are you 60 years of age or older? Earning an university degree has never been more affordable! Algoma University is pleased to offer senior students free tuition. It’s never too late to learn.

For years, Algoma University has offered a tuition waiver for Canadian citizens and landed immigrants who have reached the age of 60 as of the first day of classes.

Senior students can study on a part-time or full-time basis in a wide range of the University’s programs, which span the sciences, social sciences, humanities, and professional programs, in the fall, winter, and spring semesters.

Students at Algoma U benefit from small class sizes and one-on-one interactions with faculty, as well as a student-centred approach to learning. Those who take advantage of this opportunity will also have access to additional free academic supports, including The Learning Centre, The Writing Lab, and The Math Lab to help make the transition to university-level learning less stressful.

Last year, 16 students took advantage of the University’s tuition waiver.

Those who are eligible are required to pay the regulatory fees and supplementary fees associated with a given course.
