Algoma Steel Inc. will hire 150 new employees at a job fair in early April. The job fair, announced today, will be hosted by Algoma Steel and Team Sault Ste. Marie at the John Rhodes Community Centre on Monday, April 5 and Tuesday, April 6.

The job fair, announced today, will be hosted by Algoma Steel and Team Sault Ste. Marie at the John Rhodes Community Centre on Monday, April 5 and Tuesday, April 6.

Algoma Steel's overall employment level is declining, but the production remains lower than the company wishes.

The company is seeking only employees with prior manufacturing experience and skills in technical trades.

"We remain committed to reaching optimal manning levels and will ensure there is not one person more nor one person less than is required to operate and effective and efficient organization," said Steve Boniferro, vice-president of human resources.

If you go, the job fair runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on April 5 and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 6.

Applicants are asked to bring their resumes with them.
