Algoma Steel CEO to speak at Italian professionals dinner

CIBPA (Canadian Italian Business Professionals Association) would like to cordially invite the public to join them for their Fall Feast. The event will take place on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019, at Quattro Hotel & Conference Centre. Special guest Michael McQuade, CEO of Algoma Steel will be the keynote speaker.  

Michael has more than 35 years of steel industry experience in a number of senior leadership positions including progressive experience in key executive roles at companies such as Stelco Inc. and Algoma Steel. He was appointed CEO of Algoma Steel in March 2019.   

Doors open at 6 p.m. for cocktails and appetizers. Dinner will begin at 7 p.m.

The evening will start with Quattro’s premium antipasto station, followed by in-house baked bread, butternut squash soup, braised lamb shank with fresh rosemary and red wine root vegetables demi-glace, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans, mixed greens with house-made balsamic vinaigrette, apple blossom with fresh maple whip and caramel drizzle, coffee and tea. Red and white wine on the table.

Tickets for non-members are $65 per person and can be purchased by visiting JRPC, 229 Great Northern Rd. at the back of the Quattro building or at Winmar Property Restoration Specialists, 766 Peoples Road.

Attendees of the dinner are encouraged to bring an item for the St. Vincent Food Bank. Immediate food needs include the following items: canned mushrooms, potatoes, fruit, stew, salmon, boxed potatoes, cheese whiz and hamburger helper.  

Assisting the less fortunate in our community is a priority. Especially as the weather turns and individuals find themselves in need of nourishment and help during our cold northern winters.
