The Ontario Nurses’ Association (ONA) and Algoma Public Health recently reached a tentative agreement during the conciliation process.

The collective agreement for the 85 public health nurses, registered nurses and nurse practitioners was reached Sept. 17.

ONA members will vote on whether or not to ratify the agreement Sept. 23.

The Algoma Board of Health, meanwhile, is expected to conduct its own ratification process Sept. 22.

Details of the agreement will remain confidential until both parties have ratified the deal.

The 85 nurses at Algoma Public Health provide clinical services to approximately 119,000 residents in the Algoma District, according to an ONA release.
