Algoma Public Health reports two new cases of COVID -19 in the Sault

Case numbers 487 and 488 were both determined to be cases of close contact exposure

Algoma Public Health is reporting two new cases of COVID-10 in Sault Ste. Marie and area.

Both cases--#487 and #488--were determined to be from close contact exposure, meaning that both individuals had contact with a known case of COVID.

One individual was tested on Oct. 21, and the other on Oct. 22.

Both are self-isolating.

This makes nine active cases in the Algoma region, but there are no current hospitalizations.

These regions within Algoma are reporting cases currently:

  • Sault Ste. Marie and area
  • North Algoma
  • Algoma
