All that's left now is to clear out the rubble.
The Algoma Hotel, where many a glass was raised and many a tear fell in days past, is now a pile of wood and stubble to be bulldozed away in preparation for a new downtown arena.
The property was acquired by the City for unpaid taxes and the deteriorating structure was considered a safety hazard.
