It's official! Mayor John Rowswell is now an antique. The Big Guy quietly turned 50 yesterday, and some well-wishers and pranksters around City Hall decorated the place with a lot of very cute pictures taken when the mayor wasn't so big.

The Big Guy quietly turned 50 yesterday, and some well-wishers and pranksters around City Hall decorated the place with a lot of very cute pictures taken when the mayor wasn't so big.

All the photos had been secreted away by the time of tonight's special City Council meeting about the arena tender, so sadly we can't show any of them to you.

But we've decided to invite our tens of thousands of SooToday.com readers to scan their old snapshots of little Johnny Rowswell and send them in so we can properly commemorate the mayor's Big Birthday.
