For you nature nuts out there.
Everyone has something that says to them that spring has sprung.
For me it's the return of the male red-winged blackbirds. They start to return early, some in late March and immediately start to establish territory in anticipation of the return of the females a couple of weeks later.
The constant calling and displays say it's finally spring time to me.
These photos were taken on the boardwalk at the pond down at the locks.
