82-year-old man gets two years in sex assault case

82-year-old David Raymond Davies of Elliot Lake was sentenced yesterday to two years less a day on charges of sexual assault and sexual interference.

82-year-old David Raymond Davies of Elliot Lake was sentenced yesterday to two years less a day on charges of sexual assault and sexual interference.

Davies, who's been in custody since September 5, pleaded guilty to sexual interference and received a sentence of two years less a day with no credit for time served.

His sentence requires him not to be at schools, day cares, swimming pools and/or parks, and to not be in the company of any person under the age of 16 years.

Davies must also not attend the Algo Centre Mall or any other shopping mall.
