404 customers without power in Cathcart-Huron area (update: restored)

7:45 p.m. update:
All power has been restored. The power outage was caused by a faulted underground cable.

Original 7 p.m. release:
This is a description of an unplanned power interruption that is currently affecting PUC Distribution customers in Sault Ste. Marie.

PUC reminds all of our customers:
    •    Downed wires should always be considered energized or "live", and extremely dangerous
    •    Do not approach or drive over a downed power line and do not touch anything the power line may be in contact with
    •    Parents are encouraged to talk to their children about powerline safety and the dangers that can be associated with power lines
    •    Take all the necessary safety precautions during a power outage

Undetermined power outage - power outage - downtown

Description of area involved:
Line crews are investigating an undetermined power outage affecting 404 customers in the areas of Cathcart Street south to Queen Street West; Huron Street west to West Street
