The 15-year-old youth who escaped earlier this week from the Youth Centre was recaptured around 11:30 p.m. last night on Second Line East.
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service reports this morning that it received information just after 11 p.m. that the teenager was in a residence in the 800 block of Second Line East.
The youth was apprehended as he was trying to escape by climbing out a window, police said.
He was arrested and will appear in bail court today on charges of being unlawfully at large.
Police are thanking the public for assistance in locating the 15-year-old, whose name was published yesterday under special authorization from a judge.
Around 4 p.m. on Sunday, the teen escaped from the Youth Centre at 631 Second Line West by running through the courtyard and through an open gate.
