INTERNATIONAL BRIDGE ADMINISTRATION

The International Bridge Administration announced today that traffic for the calendar year-to-date at Dec. 31, 2018 is 1,456,020. This represents an overall year-to-date increase of 3.1%, as compared to 2017. For December, commercial traffic continues to show steady increases, up 3.2%, while overall traffic is down 4.6%, as compared to 2017.

An analysis of traffic statistics for the month reveals the following:

The International Bridge self-funds operations with toll revenue. Operational costs include the bridge structure, maintenance facilities, toll plaza, and building maintenance and support costs for the Canada Border Services Agency facility.

The bridge has had over 101 million bridge crossings since 1962.
