14-year-old hit by car, charged by police

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service reports that a 14-year-old girl has been charged with failing to yield the right of way as a pedestrian after she was struck by a car on Tuesday.

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service reports that a 14-year-old girl has been charged with failing to yield the right of way as a pedestrian after she was struck by a car on Tuesday.

Police say the girl was crossing McNabb Street when a car struck her.

As a result she suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital.

The charge was laid after subsequent investigation.
