14 pounds of bud seized on Base Line

CITY POLICE NEWS RELEASE

************************* On May 4th 2004, the Joint Forces Drug Unit executed a Controlled Drug and Substances Act search warrant at a residence in the 1900 block of Base Line in Sault Ste. Marie Ontario.

Upon searching the residence officers located and seized approximately 14 pounds of cannabis marihuana that was packaged and ready for distribution.

Also seized in the search was a small quantity of hashish.

The estimated street value of the drugs seized is $136,267.

Two persons are currently being sought in connection with this case.

The investigation by the drug unit officers is continuing.
