Willowgrove United Church hosts Oktoberfest with an authentic German dinner

Here's where it was and when:

Willowgrove United Church hosts Oktoberfest with an authentic German dinner and silent auction on Saturday, October 19 with two seatings at 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Here's who put it on:

Oktoberfest was put on by Willowgrove United Church volunteers. The delicious meal was cooked by Norma Jean Johnson, Nancy Hiron, Barbara McPherson, Larry Whalen and Marilyn Schatzler.

Here’s why you should have gone:

The evening was a fundraiser for the church's upkeep and initiatives with a goal of bringing the community together to celebrate a different culture. All of the food was homemade with authentic family recipes and really schmecked! The silent auction prizes were really nice and all donated by members of the congregation and local businesses.

You'll also want to know this:

200 of the 240 tickets were sold in advance so make sure you keep an eye out for next time!
