60th annual Bon Soo Winter Carnival kicks off this weekend!

FRIDAY, FEB. 3

The 60th annual Bon Soo Winter Carnival officially kicks off with its opening ceremonies at the Canal District starting at 6 p.m. The celebration includes bum slides, a fire show, fireworks and a performance by ABBA Soo. A Bon Soo button is required for admission. Full festival details can be found online.
Sound Check plays Reggie's Place Tavern. Show time is 9:30 p.m.
Smokehouse will hit the stage at Jay's Piston Broke Pub at 9:30 p.m.
Cloud Bandits return to the Esquire Club to perform from 9:30 until 1:30 a.m.

SATURDAY, FEB. 4

The running of the 54th annual I-500 Snowmobile Races begin in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Gates open at 8 a.m.
Bon Soo will be hosting a variety of activities and events at various locations, including maple taffy making, skating, helicopter rides, a fun run/walk, pony rides, and much more. Full festival details can be found online.
Ezeee Country plays an afternoon matinee at the Moose Lodge from 2 to 5 p.m.
Michael Yurich will play and afternoon set at The Kiln at Searchmont Resort starting at 4 p.m.
Bon Soo's Passport to Unity culinary event takes place at The Machine Shop and features cultural food, entertainment and presentations. The event begins at 6 p.m. Tickets are available online.
Frankly Speaking plays the Whisky Barrel from 8 p.m. until midnight.
Dorian Grey performs at Shooters Lounge starting at 8 p.m.
Bon Soo presents comedian Glen Foster live at Soo Blaster at 9 p.m.

The Soo Greyhounds face off against the Mississauga Steelheads at the GFL Memorial Gardens. The puck drops at 2:07 p.m.
Tym Morrison plays an afternoon matinee at Reggie's Place Tavern from 3 to 7 p.m.
Steve Shaw will play and afternoon set at The Kiln at Searchmont Resort starting at 3 p.m.

MONDAY, FEB. 6

Bon Soo will be hosting a variety of activities and events at various locations, including the Soo Grey Hounds at the bum slides, a paint party, skating, and much more. Full festival details can be found online.
Chess Club at the North Branch of the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library from 5 to 7:30 p.m. happens every Tuesday from Jan. 10 to March 28. All ages are welcome and registration is not required.

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 8

Bon Soo will be hosting a variety of activities and events at various locations, including bum slides, the Fire and Ice - Hot Saulce Chicken Wing Challenge, a Torchlight Luau Skate event, and much more. Full festival details can be found online.
Bon Soo presents Indigenous Ingenuity - An Interactive Adventure at Shigwauk Kinoomaage Gamig (1491 Queen St. E.) from 5 to 7 p.m.

THURSDAY, FEB. 9
