FRIDAY, MAY 27 - The Lighthouse Community Church in Bruce Mines is pleased to host singer and storyteller Micheal Catling in support of a mother and daughter, coming to the area from Ukraine. The event is at the Johnson Community Center at 1 Cameron Dr., Desbarats.  Advance Tickets: $20 / plus fee if ordered online or pick up at: M&J Hair Boutique, Taylor St. Bruce Mines or McClelland's Hardware, 3 Lake Huron Dr., Desbarats or at the door: $25. Micheal Catling has entertained audiences for over 40 years, capturing the essence of Elvis. 

FRIDAY, MAY 27 - Who is ready for a show. There’s a big and better drag show at Primavera Banquet Hall. Doors open at 8 p.m., show starts at 9 p.m., dance floor opens up at 11 p.m.

FRIDAY, MAY 27 - Korah Collegiate Theatre 636 Goulalis Ave. The Korah Musical Theatre production of Frozen Jr. May 27 in the Korah Auditorium. For dinner shows, doors open at 5 p.m. and dinner begins at 5:30 p.m.

FRIDAY, MAY 27 - Elite Dance Force presents the 8th annual Dance Production at the Sault Community Theatre Centre. The competitive show will take place on May 27 at 6 p.m. while the recreation and continued competition will take place the following day, May 28, at 2 p.m.

SATURDAY, MAY 28 - Nogdawindamin Family and Community Services Anishnabe Aadziwin team wish to invite community members from the Bawating/Sault Ste. Marie and the surrounding area to our Spring Pow Wow. Grand Entry will begin at 12 p.m. at the Rankin Arena, Batchewana First Nation

SATURDAY, MAY 28 - Richards Landing will host the Great Northern Ontario Roadshow at Cenotaph Park. It will run from 12 to 3 p.m. The Roadshow will include science demonstrations from Science North and a local market.

SATURDAY, MAY 28 - Korah Collegiate Theatre 636 Goulalis Ave. The Korah Musical Theatre production of Frozen Jr. May 28 in the Korah Auditorium. 1 p.m.

SATURDAY, MAY 28 - Grand Opening of the Sault Metis Centre at 136 John St. The day will begin with a sunrise ceremony and prayers for our ancestors buried in the cemetery on-site and will continue throughout the day with meals, ribbon cutting, open house tours of the facilities, cultural workshops, music, dancing, and the ever-popular Metis games.

SATURDAY, MAY 28 - Frank Deresti and The Lake Effect will be playing at the Loft at Algoma Conservatory Of Music on 75 Huron St. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Showtime is 7 p.m.

SUNDAY, MAY 29 - Sault Alzheimer Society encourages residents to take part in the annual IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's. The Walk will begin on May 29 at 61 Great Northern Rd. in the local office parking lot. Opening ceremonies will start at 1 p.m., with registration beginning at noon.
