VIDEO: Virtual instruction leads local dancers into annual presentation

SooToday received the following note and accompanying video from Elite Dance Force.

The video highlights the dedication and hard work of its students during a time when in-person instruction is not possible.

Due to COVID-19, the dance studio again had to close its doors in March, and has not been able to reopen for in-person instruction. As a result, we have had to end the season early.

Students usually practise all year long for competitions and recital – all of which have been cancelled for another season. It is heartbreaking for everyone and we wanted to do something to boost morale.

This video allowed the dancers to feel connected to the art of dance and to their team, even though we could not all be physically together.

The video project took about a month to complete. Choreography was taught through Zoom and each student submitted their videos for each separate section. They were then pieced together one by one into this virtual presentation.
