VIDEO: Local Hallmark movie stars irritatingly cute guy, sacks of potatoes

Premieres on W Network on Friday, November 1

Hallmark's made-in-the-Sault movie Nostalgic Christmas will kick off the Christmas romance season on Canada's W Network on Friday, Nov. 1 at 8 p.m., or one night earlier at 9 p.m. on Thursday Oct. 31 (Halloween) if you have access to the Hallmark Channel on U.S. cable services.

The preview trailer shown above was released by Hallmark last week.

If you're wondering what was in that artificial snow that the filmmaker hosed all over Queen Street back in June, you aren't alone.

Staff at the Ermatinger-Clergue National Historic Site became very concerned when the fake precipitation started to drift onto their sensitive, irreplaceable log and stone buildings.

They ran across the street to protest, but were assured that it was nothing more than moistened potato flakes.

The film stars Trevor Donovan and Canadian-born actress Brooke D’Orsay.
